Family pictures

I have the best family in the world! And cute too!!

Bowling!

Last week we went bowling and swimming with Dad. Finally it has started to feel like summer.

It was fun, even though I have never scored over a 80 in my life. Parker did great, I should use the bumpers too!

GIRLS CAMP

It was awsome! I never could have imagined how much fun I would have, or how much I would enjoy the girls in our stake! The only thing that went wrong was we were missing Kim!

Lexi loved her leaders and all the great crafts.

I just loved being there with my daughter, even though I didn't spend much time with her, being in the stake, I was there a day earlier and at the main stake camp site, usually cooking or cleaning up. But we saw each other from a distance and felt good knowing we were both there. I even got to bring her home, which was cool and help me a lot.
The food was yummy and all the activities went great, I am so happy and so sad it is over!

Sister in town

My sister was in town for the 4th, we had alot of fun hanging out for a couple days, besides the fact that my basement was torn up and I had camping food everywhere, they helped by taking a couch back with them.

We had a great time going to the Temple open house, and to Leatherbys.

The kids played a lot of card games. Thanks for coming guys! We miss you already!

4th of July fun and flooding

This is how Thursday started, we had a birthday party for our cousin. The kids were all having fun and my house was all cleaned and ready for my sister and her family to come in to town and stay with us. Then....it started to rain, I was a little worried about Rajah being outside, but never could have imagined what was waiting for me at home! We drove home to change and get ready for family pictures and Lexi went down stairs. The back half of our basement was soaked! At first I thought a little rain had seaked through the window, but after a couple hours later and 10 buckets of water dumped out, I realized just how bad the storm was.
This is just a little taste of what a mess my basement is in right now! And 10 people are here.

Thank you cory and Reid, we could have never done it with your help!

At this point I was thinking- Um this is were all the kids go to get away from us, What NOW?

Well- pictures were cancelled and Grandma & Grandpa brought out pizza for everyone.

Grandma

We have been really busy moving my grandma from her apartment to a nursing home. She is so sad because she has been able to live on her own for so long. I hope she will like being with people and having help all the time though. We are praying she gets a roommate she likes.
We had to clean out her whole apartment that she has lived in the past 10 years. It was quite the job and only me and my Dad to do it. Me and Lexi went over yesterday and started packing away her china hutch and cleaning out her cedar chest. We were there all day and my Dad thought it would take us all of July to get rid of everything, but me and Brooks spent all day there today and the apartment is empty except for her chair. Can I even begin to tell you how tired we are!! My house is a wreck and my sister comes next week and girls camp is the next week, and I still have to do all the food shopping for camp AAHHHH!! By the way Marci, I have save the "Bust of Ruth" statue for you!
I am grateful that my Grandma is still alive, it would have been a lot tougher to do if I had to deal with emotions too. I am going to miss doing my Grandma's shopping and cleaning every other week, it just won't be the same going to visit in a not so private room. My Grandma is a very strong independent women and I am so grateful for all she has taught and given me. I wish getting older wasn't so hard! Life should get easier as we age not harder.

Temple Celebration and new hair for Lexi

Getting ready for the celebration

don't know why this down loaded twice?

Last Saturday Lexi and Kyler got to perform for the Prophet in a Temple celebration. It was amazing! I wish I could have taken pictures. They had so much fun and said they are sad it is over. Their testimonies grew so much of eternal families and temple work. Thank you to all that made it possible. Here are some pictures of before and of us walking around before it started.

Here are also pictures of Lexi's new hair. A big change because she hasn't had bangs for a long time and we had to fix a hair color gone wrong. She looks gorgeous! Nothing like me, we are total oposites in hair, and eye color. It was fun.
